Scenic  Towns  of  Umbria

This collection of scenic towns of Umbria stands alongside the region's hill towns, larger cities and smaller villages to offer another set of tantalising avenues to explore. 

Umbria is one of the few landlocked regions of Italy and much of its terrain is hilly or part of the Apennine mountain range. Within the hills and valleys of Umbria we find a wide range of towns such as Cascia where modernity has touched christendom with the incredibly beautiful Basilica di Santa Rita da Cascia. Delve further and there's the important medieval town of Città di Castello or something quite different at religious Santa Maria degli Angeli.
